GETTING STARTED
Your Journey to Support Starts Here! While starting therapy can be a big step, I am here to make the process as seamless as possible. Because I am the sole practitioner, you will be communicating directly with me -your BCBA- at every step of this process!
ROADMAP for Tricare Learners:
Step 1: Initial Inquiry & Consultation
Action: Fill out the contact form or call for a free 15-minute phone consultation.
Goal: To discuss your child's needs, my current availability, and ensure my direct-service model is the right fit for your family.
Step 2: Insurance Verification & Intake
Action: Review intake paperwork and handbook. Submit necessary documentation including:
formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
referral or prescription for ABA therapy from your pediatrician
current insurance information
any recent IEPs or reports from other providers (previous ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Physical Therapy)
Step 3: Clinical Assessment
Action: I will conduct a comprehensive, assent-based assessment in your home.
Focus: Observing your child in their natural environment and meeting with you to discuss your family's specific priorities and goals.
Step 4: The Treatment Plan
Action: I develop a customized, evidence-based plan for your child.
Collaboration: We will review this plan together to ensure it aligns with your values and daily routines before submitting it to insurance for authorization.
Step 5: Beginning Services
Action: Once authorized, we begin our scheduled sessions—whether it’s Direct Treatment or the Parent Education Program.
